Kurnik used to be a major site for playing Hex online until June 2008. Then Hex was abandoned due to "low interest". Hex returned to Kurnik in December 2017 with board sizes of 11x11, 13x13, 14x14, and 19x19.

Kurnik is known as PlayOK for non-Polish language users.
